CAN I USE 18 VOLT BATTERIES WITH MY 14.4 DRILL?

I have a perfectly good Rigid 14.4 drill but the batteries are now bad. I cannot find replacement 14.4 from Home Depot. Can I use 18 volt batteries with this drill or will it burn it up?

They would work, if they’d fit. However, the 18V are larger than the 14.4V, so the batteries won’t snap into place. With many cordless drills, the smaller voltage batteries will fit in the higher voltage drills in a pinch. Hope this helps.
