Motorcycle clubs accelerator / idles too high and too low, thoughts?
Hey. 1982 Yamaha Virago 750cc. I recently renovated and cleaned the carburetor and the ignition of the fuel system. Now it is idling high as 2500 RPM, or peat and 500 died. Nothing in between. When I hit the problem, accelerator itself or any power at all, or gets stuck at the top of the twist and shouts at 5 or 6000 rpm (or a ton of noise). My thoughts are underway – 1-carb clean and lubricate the throttle. 2 – Remove the throttle cable waste and replacing them with new cables lubrication and adjustment of boundaries. 3 – Adjust the spring accelerator. Your thoughts? JMB
When cleaning the carbs, you checked the throttle cable and twist grip for the proper functioning? A solution disconnect the power cord is carbohydrates.
