I want to make stilts…need ANY advice?

I’m looking to make a pair of aluminum or possibly VERY strong wood stilts at about 3 to 4 feet tall. These MUST support a weight of 225lbs.
I am good at following detailed instructions, but I have yet to find any online. Please remember that I’m interested in making professional performance stilts, NOT kiddie, ‘flat-base’, or Painters Stilts.

Any advice/guidance/instructions/relevant information is greatly appreciated. Thanks =)

My dad once made them out of 2 x 4 s and Cut Off a little piece of either end, the cut that diagonally and hammered it in to be the feet pieces.
