The work of construction workers

Recently I have developed a strange need to work as a bricklayer. I do not know what it is, there's something really interesting about how to work a job that has existed for thousands of years.

Stonemasons have a select group of jobs that have stood the test of time. After to shape the ancient pyramids of Egypt or the Coliseum in Rome, beds have one of those jobs that fills the mind with astonishment.

I always look forward to building my own home. Antiques and old things to be happy, I nurtured the idea of hiring a mason to work with me and build a stone house. I was surprised to learn that very few buildings and built with stones as the foundation for this day and age. Earthquake Safety Code and some other things, it is very difficult for stone buildings rising in our modern era. It is a strange thing to approach a beautiful building, perhaps a courthouse, to see its gleaming marble in the morning sun, and yet know that the beauty of the stone is only a very thin layer, housing one part cement and metal and wood. But the modern skyscraper was completely reinvented the old methods stone masonry.

Today, the mason work is relegated mainly garden outside a house. forming walls and sidewalks, stone rarely asks the most fashionable royal buildings. Most structures are made with cheaper materials, drywall and two by four. On stone buildings are nearing completion.

Of all the modern buildings under construction, built of brick, are just some of the best, I think. One would expect that the buildings would be brick the same road of stone masonry. But in reality, the bricks are still a very viable medium for new buildings. The cost difference in materials should play a key role.

While I found information on the work of builders showed me that I most likely never to build my old stone house, I developed an even greater sense for trade, which has completely changed in modern times to facilitate the demands of a changing world.
