Is it okay to this to my car in between car washings?

I go to a premium carwash every month and a half or so, but a few times I will take a wet terry cloth and wipe it over my car to get rid of dust and any bird poop! Then, take a dry terry cloth and just wipe my car dry… Am I causing any damage by doing this or should I just go to the carwash more often?

you need to do light wash on it in between time you have it done,rubbing over the paint even with a terry cloth can put light scratches in it,unless you using light soapy water blend on it,over time you will notice tiny hair line scratches in the paint if you keep doing this,id wash it more often,it will make the paint last longer.good luck.
