Best paint for pipe wrenches old?

Hi Guys and Girls, I just bought a batch to Brand Keys Ridgid pipe. They are extremely rusty old .. I sprayed with WD40 and sanding to bare metal. I was wondering if anyone of you have any possession "paint" these tools to make them appear "???" I called and spoke Ridgid factory engineer and told me to use "paint chevy engine red" I'm not happy because he seems to shrink no matter how many layers I get. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good quality product for use in that country.
