Carbide Tipped Hole Saws

In order to explain what a carbide tipped hole saw is, we must investigate the carbide compound. To give you a basic overview without too much scientific jargon, Carbide is a compound composed of carbon and a less electronegative element.

Some examples that you might have come across in the industry are Silicon Carbide, which is a covalent compound that is a useful abrasive. Tungsten Carbide often called Carbide, is a compound specifically used for cutting tools. Carbides are important and are used to coat metals in cutting tools.
